Welcome to My Sisters Hands of Healing, a non-profit 501C3 organization passionately dedicated to making a profound difference in the lives of women and children affected by sexual abuse. Our mission is clear: to diminish the prevalence of sexual abuse by offering comprehensive support and resources to survivors and their support systems.

At My Sisters Hands of Healing, we firmly believe in the transformative power of education and advocacy. Our commitment extends beyond mere support to actively raising awareness about the pervasive issue of sexual abuse. Through robust community outreach programs and educational initiatives, we equip individuals with the knowledge and tools to identify and respond to abuse effectively.

Central to our ethos is the provision of a safe and nurturing environment for survivors to embark on their healing journey. Our comprehensive range of services includes shelter, free mental health resources, an entrepreneurship program, coaching, childcare, and a sanctuary where survivors and their loved ones can find solace. Our dedicated team of professionals and volunteers are steadfast in their commitment to offering compassionate care and unwavering support, guiding survivors towards healing and recovery.

About The Founder 

Meet Moriah, a passionate advocate, public speaker and trailblazer dedicated to empowering survivors of sexual abuse. As the founder of My Sister’s Hands of Healing, a 501c3 nonprofit, she has devoted her life to serving women and children who have endured the trauma of sexual abuse. Her organization provides vital support, fostering healing and resilience.

In addition to her commitment to survivors, Moriah is a driving force for women's equity. Recognizing and challenging systemic barriers, she advocates tirelessly to break down obstacles hindering women's equality. Her belief in the transformative power of collective action fuels her efforts to create a more just and inclusive society.

 

Notably, Moriah actively contributes to the community as a board member of the United Black Contractors, working towards enhancing opportunities for underrepresented groups in the construction industry. As the President of Makazi Inc., she leads initiatives that promote cultural awareness, women's equity and unit.

 

Moriah is more than a leader; she is a firm believer in the inherent strength of women. With a profound conviction that every woman possesses the power to effect change, she inspires others to recognize their beauty, resilience, and collective strength. Through her advocacy and leadership, Moriah is shaping a future where survivors find healing, systemic barriers are dismantled, and women stand together as beautiful and powerful forces of positive change.
